TYPE LOCALITY: Liberia, Mt Coffee .

DISTRIBUTION: Specimens are from Sierra Leone, Guinea (Mt Nimbo), Liberia, Ivory Coast, and Ghana.

COMMENTS: Part of the murine fauna endemic to W Africa (see account of Grammomys buntingi ). Taxonomy, morphology, range, and habits reviewed by Rosevear (1969) and Van der Straeten (1984).
