DISTRIBUTION: Mountains of Scandinavia and tundra from Lapland to the White Sea ( Corbet, 1978c; see Tast, 1982«, for European range).

SYNONYMS: borealis , iretator, migratorius , norvegicus .

COMMENTS: European populations reviewed by Tast (1982a).
