Carpomya Costa, 1854: 87 View in CoL . Type species: Carpomya vesuviana Costa (by monotypy).
Before Norrbom’s publication of 1997, Carpomya included three species: C. incompleta (Becker) , C. schineri (Loew) and C. vesuviana Costa. Norrbom (1997) added to Carpomya three species: two ( Goniglossum wiedemanni and Myiopardalis pardalina ) transferred from other genera, and the newly described C. tica . Here I return G. wiedemanni and M. pardalina to their former combinations (new status) and create a new genus, Norrbomella , for Norrbomella tica (new combination).
