Material examined. MNHN 2003.3379 (adult female; SVL 55.6 mm), between Mukomuko and Lubuksao, Province of Sumatera Barat, elev. about 430 m.

Taxonomic comments. The specimen is a member of Huia as indicated by its exceptional long tibia (TL/ SVL 744 ‰). Despite the small differences - it is slightly smaller than females (61–70 mm) mentioned by Yang (1991) and those (56.8–65.4 mm) mentioned by Inger & Iskandar (2005), it is a member of Huia sumatrana , as it has web on feet to toe pads, first finger longer than second and a distinct metatarsal tubercle (Doria et al. 1999).

Distribution on Sumatra. The species is known from all over Sumatra.

Biology. The single specimen was found active at night (about 2015 hours) during a rainy night of November. It was collected near a streamlet in a rocky primary forest.
