One ♀ syntype with labels: “Turkestan, Russe, M. Moser” [handwritten on white paper]; “ Sphingonotus satrapes Sauss. ” [handwritten on yellow paper]; “ Sphingonotus satrapes Sauss. ” [handwritten on blue paper]; “ Syntypus ” [printed on red paper]. Specimen set with wings spread; both antennae, the tarsi of the left front leg, the right front leg and the left hind leg are lost. There is insect feeding-damage to the head and thorax. Box V29.
