– Type: D.R. Congo, Kapanga, Mar. 1934, Overlaet 1263 (holo-: BR barcode BR 0000008903655 ; iso-: BR barcode BR 0000008903631, NY barcode NY 00138416) .

This variety is quite distinct by the ferruginous pubescence of the petioles and inflorescence axes.

Distribution – Endemic to D.R. Congo.
