Smetana, 2001: 190 ( Type locality: NW Yunnan: Yulongxueshan N.P. near Baishui village, ca. 30 km N of Lijiang , 2900–3200 m) ; Smetana, 2004: 673 (Catalog of Palaearctic Region); Schülke & Smetana, 2015: 1085 (Catalog of Palaearctic Region).

Distribution. Miobdelus aureonotatus is at present known from Yulongxueshan in Yunnan Province.
