6. Chrysotus fanjingshanus sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Eyes contiguous on face. Postocular setae pale. Proboscis brown, palpus dark yellow. All coxae black; femora black; apex of hind tibia blackish. Squama pale with blackish brown setulae. Halter pale. Sternite 8 with 3 long and developed setae, one of which is very stout. Male terminalia with lateral epandrial lobe bearing a long seta at front margin basally. Postgonite with strip-like arms and nearly triangular anterior process.

Description. Male: Body length 2.3 mm, wing length 1.9 mm. Head: Metallic green with pale gray pollinosity; eyes contiguous on face. Setulae and setae on head black, postocular setae (including posteroventral setulae) pale. Antenna black. Proboscis brown with black setulae; palpus dark yellow with 1 black apical seta. Thorax: Dark metallic green with pale gray pollinosity. Setulae and setae on thorax black; 5 strong dc, 6–7 irregularly paired acr short and setula-like; scutellum with 2 pairs of setae, basal pair short and setula-like; propleuron with 1 black setula and 1 black seta on lower part. Legs: (foreleg, mid tarsomeres 2–5 and hind tarsomeres 4–5 broken off) Yellow, all coxae and trochanters black; femora black; base of tibiae brown, apex of hind tibia blackish, hind tarsus black. Setulae and setae on legs black. Mid and hind coxae each with 1 outer seta. Mid tibia with 2 ad and 2 pd, apically with 4 setae; hind tibia with 2 ad and 1 pd, apically with 4 setae. Relative lengths of tibia and 5 tarsomeres of legs LI?:?:?:?:?:?; LII 50: 28:?:?:?:?; LIII 60: 18: 14: 10:?:?. Wing: Hyaline, veins brown; R4+5 and M1+2 parallel apically. Squama pale with blackish brown setulae. Halter pale. Abdomen: Dark metallic green with pale gray pollinosity; setulae and setae on abdomen black. Male terminalia ( Fig. 6 ). St8 with 3 long and developed setae, one of which as strong as stick. Epandrium with angular projection posteriorly. Ventral projection of epandrium with end flattened and narrow, and withdrawn from level of distal margin of lateral epandrial lobe. Lateral epandrial lobe arched apically, bearing long seta at front margin basally and short and weak setae at hind margin distally. Surstylus tapered and slightly curved apically. Cercus short and relatively long. Hypandrium with ventral process pointed apically. Proximal portion of hypandrium with projection. Postgonite with strip-like arms and nearly triangular anterior process. Female: Unknown.

Type material. HOLOTYPE, ɗ, Guizhou: Fanjingshan, 1800 m, 27º55’N, 108º41’E, 7.IX.1993, LM Wei.

Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality of Fanjing Mountain, Guizhou. Remarks. The postocular setae (including postero-ventral setulae) pale and ventral projection of epandrium with end flattened are seldom observed in species of the C. laesus -group, although present in C. pallidus , sp. nov., C. laesus and C. serratus , and the latter feature also in C. agraulus sp. nov. According to the key of Negrobov et al. (2000), the new species will run to C. nudisetus Negrobov et Maslova, 1995 but can be distinguished from the latter by flattened tipped ventral projection of epandrium withdrawn from level of distal margin of lateral epandrial lobe; lateral epandrial lobe bearing a long seta at front margin basally; hypandrium with only a ventral process pointed apically.

Based on the key of Becker (1922), the new species will run to couplet 3, but differs from all species under the couplet by blackish brown femora and yellow tibiae.
