Ambogaster View in CoL can be separated from the other two genera of Chilean Coelocybinae by the following combination of characters: body not flattened and with collar rounded into short declivitous neck ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5 – 8 ), notauli reaching to posterior edge of mesoscutum as smooth-bottomed groove ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5 – 8 ), T1with anterior edge of its basal foveae carinate ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5 – 8 ), and hind coxa either mostly smooth or with weak irregular sculpture ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5 – 8 ).
