Host. Poaceae : Elymus canadensis L.
Leaf mine. Solitary larva forming an irregular track 2–3 mm wide and 12.5 cm long, beginning 1.5 cm from the leaf apex (leaf 4 mm wide at the end of the mine; actual oviposition point unknown). Whitish to pale green, speckled with fine, dark green frass grains.
Puparium. Formed outside the mine.
