Previously known from the Mexican states of Chiapas, Jalisco, Morelos, Quintana Roo, and Sinaloa ( Monné 2015b; Tavakilian 2015).

Desmiphora cirrosa Erichson, 1847 View in CoL . Jalisco: Estación de Biología Chamela , 5-VII-1987, Atraído a luz, Col. F. A. Noguera (1, EBCC); 14- VII-1986, Rosa A. Usela (1, EBCC). Recorded distribution: Mexico to Argentina. Previously known from the Mexican states of Nayarit, Quintana Roo, and Veracruz ( Monné 2015b) .
