Metalimnobia quadrinotata tenua Savchenko View in CoL in Savchenko and Krivolutskaya, 1976: 151. Type locality: Kamchatka Peninsula, Yelizovskiy rayon, Dalniy, Plotnikova River valley.

Diagnosis. Femora yellowish brown with two black rings, first indistinct, at 4/5 length of femora, second at tip, narrower than subapical yellow ring. One small spot between base of cell R and origin of Rs. Terminal section of R1 bent to wing margin in right angle. Paramere subtriangular, with tip narrow and acute.

Description. Male. Body length 12.8–14.0 mm, wing 14.5–15.8 mm.

Head. Yellowish brown with pale gray pollen, except vertex brownish black. One small median tubercle between eyes. Hairs on head black. Antenna 2.4–2.6 mm. Scape and pedicel yellowish brown, flagellomeres brownish black, suboval to subcylindrical, apical segments elongate, verticils considerably longer than segments. Proboscis and palpus black with black hairs.

Thorax. General brownish yellow with pale gray pollen. Pronotum yellowish brown except dorsal surface brownish black. Prescutum yellowish brown with four black stripes, median pair long and slender, lateral pair short and broad. Median region of scutum yellowish brown, lobes black. Scutellum and mediotergite brownish yellow. Pleura yellowish brown, variegated by darker areas. Hairs on thorax black. Coxae and trochanters pale yellow; femora yellowish brown with two black rings, first indistinct, at 4/5 length of femora, second at tip, narrower than subapical yellow ring; tibiae yellowish brown with tip darker; tarsi brownish black. Hairs on legs black.

Wing ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ) brownish hyaline, with dark brown spots at base of cell R, origin and fork of Rs and each side of stigma, one small spot between base of cell R and origin of Rs; seams along crossveins r-m, m-m, mcu and basal sections of cells M1+2 and M3; obscure brownish irregular clouds in all marginal cells, arranged in transverse band before apex of wing; stigma yellowish. Sc1 longer than Sc2, terminal section of R1 bent to wing margin in right angle, m-cu before fork of M. Halter 1.8–2.0 mm long, brownish yellow except base of stem pale yellow and knob brown.

Abdomen. Tergites 1–8 black, tergite 9 brownish yellow with median area black. Sternites 1–3 brownish yellow, Sternites 4–8 brownish black with posterior margin yellowish brown, sternite 9 brownish yellow. Hairs on abdomen black.

Hypopygium ( Figs. 32–35 View FIGURES 32 – 35 ). Posterior margin of tergite 9 ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 32 – 35 ) emarginate, each lobe with several hairs. Gonocoxite with broad ventromesal lobe. outer gonostylus ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 32 – 35 ) broad, arched at 2/3 length, outer third narrowing into slender flattened spine. Inner gonostylus ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 32 – 35 ) divided into three lobes, innermost lobe long and slender, with several short hairs at inner margin; dorsal fleshy lobe subteres with long hairs; ventral fleshy lobe subglobular with long hairs. Paramere ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 32 – 35 ) subtriangular, with tip narrow and acute.

Female. Body length 12.5–13.7 mm, wing length 13.5–14.5 mm. Similar to male.
