Diagnosis. Males of Xenonemesia platensis differ from those of X. otti n. sp. by the shorter embolus and straight apical region of the embolus ( Figs. 1–3 View FIGURES 1 – 8. 1 – 4 ), and females differ in the short, straight seminal receptacle in the genitalia ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 8. 1 – 4 ).

New record. BRAZIL. Rio Grande do Sul: Caçapava do Sul, Santa Barbinha, 2 males (MCTP 17166; IBSP 12857).
Distribution. Argentina, Uruguay and southern Brazil.
