Material

Fan Tsang Chau (Conic Island) Cave, station A, entrance, depth 19.1 m.

This species was erected for a specimen from Amoy which Monro (1934) had identified previously as Halosydnoides pilosa (Horst, 1917) (5 Halosydnopsis pilosa ). The two species are keyed out by Wu et al. (1997), who give the distribution of P. hartmanae as East and South China Seas. Shin (1982) and Ong Che et al. (1999) have previously reported P. hartmanae from Hong Kong waters.
