Anachrysa luna sp. nov.

( Figs. 4 View FIGURE 4 A–N, 5)

Diagnosis. Head with brownish genal stripe connected with clypeal markings; scape with reddish brown stripe. Pronotum with large medio-lateral spots; pretarsal claw with basal dilation about half as long as claw hook, with ventral margin of basal dilation not projected apically. Forewing with distinct markings; inner and median gradate crossveins brownish; distal cubital cell (dcc) with reddish brown spots. Tergum 9+ecroprocts without projected peak in lateral view.

Description. Measurements: Head width 1.00– 1.10 mm; ratio of head width/eye width = 1.80–2.00; prothorax 0.65–0.70 mm long and 0.90–0.95 mm wide. Forewing 17.00– 17.20 mm long, 5.00– 5.20 mm wide; 12 radial cells; 4 Banksian cells (b cells), 4 lower Banksian cells (b’ cells); 9 inner gradates, 6 median gradates, 6 outer gradates. Hind wing 15.4–15.70 mm long, 4.60–4.70 mm wide; 13 radial cells; 2 Banksian cells (b cells), 4 lower Banksian cell (b’ cells); 8 inner gradates, 2–4 median gradates, 6 outer gradates.

Head. Vertex pale green, immaculate; frons with reddish stripe along epistomal suture; gena with brownish genal stripe connected with clypeal markings; tentorial pits unmarked; scape unmarked; clypeus laterally with brownish markings; maxillary palp with palpomeres 4 and 5 brownish; labial palp with palpomere 3 brownish.

Thorax. Pronotum with reddish lateral stripe and large medio-lateral spots. Pretarsal claw with basal dilation about half as long as claw hook, ventral margin of basal dilation not projected apically.

Wings. Forewing narrow, hyaline, with distinct markings. costal crossveins, branches of radical sector (Rs) at junctions with pseudomedia (Psm), gradates, dcc and first anal vein (1A) brownish; hind wing narrow, more acutely tapered apically than forewing, hyaline; veins almost pale green except costal crossveins.

Abdomen pale green. Abdominal setae white, microsetae dense, and long setae sparse.

Male. Tergum 9+ectoprocts quadrate, about three times as long as tergum 8, separated in dorsal view, without dorsally projected peak in lateral view; callus cerci oval, about twice as long as wide. Sterna 8+9 fused, very narrow, about twice as long as wide, with line of fusion not demarcated; lateral margin straight and abruptly tapered near apex, posterior margin rounded. Tignum and gonapsis present; hypandrium internum absent; tignum narrow; gonarcus narrow, slightly longer than mediuncus, broadened subapically; entoprocessus long and narrow, curved abruptly near median part, with large subapical unarticulated process; mediuncus slightly curved; gonaspsis with lateral wings asymmetric, broad, and with stem short, not expanded laterally near apex.

Female. Unknown.

Etymology. The specific epithet “ luna ” is from Latin “ lun- ”, referring to the curved male entoprocessus in the new species.

Type material. Holotype Ƌ, China, Xizang, Nyingchi ( HAE), Bome (Affl), 2638 m, 95°77′E 29°87′N, 2018. VII.25, Li Hongyu ( CAU).

Distribution. China (Xizang).

Remarks. The new species can be distinguished by the absence of reddish brown stripe on scape (present in A. trigonia and A. xiangana ), the brownish gradates (pale green in A. holzeli ), the male gonapsis with short stem (long in A. elegans ), and the male tergum 9+ectoprocts without dorsally projected peak in lateral view (present in A. erato ).
