= Mullerbaetis Kang et al. 1994: 32 .

= Cymulabaetis McCafferty & Waltz 1995: 25 . Pseudocloeon: Lugo-Ortiz, McCafferty & Waltz 1999: 3 View in CoL (non Klapalek 1905). Type species: Baetis atrebatinus Eaton 1870 .

Hierarchical name: Labiobaetis View in CoL /f2=g1.

Characteristics. This is a plesiomorphon within Labiobaetini, that means that it has all characters of Labiobaetini (see above), but has no apomorphies of Pseudopannota (see above). Discussion about characters of Labiobaetis is given in our previous paper ( Kluge & Novikova 2014). Most characteristic larval features of Labiobaetis are widened paraglossae, diminished glossae and expanded median projection of 2nd segment of labial palp ( Figs 126, 127 View FIGURES 126 – 129 ).

Composition. About 75 formally described species and many undescribed species.

Species examined. Imagoes, subimagoes and larvae associated by rearing were examined for L. atrebatinus ( Eaton 1870 [ Baetis ]), L. calcaratus ( Keffermüller 1972 [ Baetis ]), L. desertus ( Novikova & Kluge 1987 [ Baetis (Labiobaetis) ]), L. geminatus ( Müller-Liebenau & Hubbard 1985 [ Baetis ]), L. ordinatus ( Müller-Liebenau & Hubbard 1985 [ Baetis ]), L. propinguus ( Walsh 1863 [ Cloe ]), L. pulchellus ( Müller-Liebenau & Hubbard 1985 [ Baetis ]), L. tenuicrinitus (Kopelke 1980 [ Pseudocloeon ]) (see below), L. tricolor ( Tshernova 1928 [ Baetis ]), 7 undetermined species from Uganda, 3 undetermined species from India, 1 undetermined species from Java, 6 undetermined species from Sulawesi, 4 undetermined species from Papua.

Besides this, genitals extracted from mature larvae were examined for L. glaucus ( Agnew 1961 [ Baetis ]), L. involutum (Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty (in Lugo-Ortiz et al.) 1999 [ Pseudocloeon ]), L. mustus ( Kang & Yang 1996 [ Baetis (Labiobaetis) ]), L. vultuosum (Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty (in Lugo-Ortiz et al. 1999) [ Pseudocloeon ]), and several undetermined species from Afrotropical and Oriental Regions.

Distribution. Arctogea (Holarctic, Afrotropical and Oriental regions).
