Material examined. 2 ex. Shoucheng River , Baishou Town , Yongfu County, Guilin City, Guangxi Province, China; 25.17°N, 109.77°E, September 2023 by Zhi- Yuan Fu GoogleMaps .

Holotype. NNUH20241201 , shell height 15.8 mm, width 7.95 mm, height of the body whorl 9.29 mm.

Paratypes. 1 ex. NNUH20241202 , shell height 15.02 mm, width 7.82 mm, height of the body whorl 9.09 mm, locality and habitat same as holotype .

Locus typicus. Baishou Town, Yongfu County, Guilin City, Guangxi Province, China; 25.17°N, 109.77°E.

Etymology. The specific name " fasciata " is derived from striped. We suggest the Chinese common name as " 条ü短沟ĸ ".

Description. Shell small, thick, solid, conical, brown, with two black horizontal stripes; shell comprising seven whorls, surface smooth, growth lines no obvious, without spiral ribs, body whorl swollen, taking up most of the shell about 59%, with very faint transverse lines. Apex eroded. Suture low. Lip thin, inner lip slightly thickened and smooth, white, outer lip black-purple. Umbilicus absent.

Operculum. ( Fig. 2 N View Figure 2 ) Ovate, smaller than aperture, corneous, thin, brown, length 4.89 mm, width 3.68 mm, and the nucleus located at the bottom left about 1/4.

Radula. ( Fig. 3 N View Figure 3 ) Central teeth with triangle-shaped pointed major cusp, and 4–5 smaller cusps on each side. Lateral teeth with enlarged, pointed major cusp and a smaller cusp on inner side. The outer sider of lateral teeth with 2–3 smaller cusps. Inner marginal teeth with four and outer with five to six flattened, rounded denticles.

Anatomy. Snout, foot and tentacles grey, around with a brown pigmented. Snout broad, cylindrical, with long cephalic tentacles, tentacles greater than snout in length.

Remarks. Body whorl taking up most of the shell about 59% of S. fasciata sp. nov., which is most similar to S. calculus (Reeve, 1860) and H. jacqueti , but can nevertheless be easily separated by the slender shell and lower suture.

Habitat and distribution. This species was collected in Shoucheng River, Baishou Town, Yongfu County, Guilin City, Guangxi Province. The species inhabits rivers with a depth of less than 80 cm, slow water flow, and a substrate made of stones and sand.
