Material examined. 4 ex. Xiaotaoshu River in Longtan Village , Mile City, Yunnan Province, China; 24.43°N, 103.41°E, September 2023 by Cen- Song Yang leg. GoogleMaps

Holotype. NNUH20240501 , shell height 8.43 mm, width 6.24 mm, height of the body whorl 6.23 mm.

Paratypes. 3 ex. NNUH20240502–4 , shell height 8.02–8.42 mm, width 5.97–6.32 mm, height of the body whorl 6.26–6.53 mm, locality and habitat same as holotype .

Locus typicus. Longtan Village, Mile City, Yunnan Province, China; 24.43°N, 103.41°E.

Etymology. This new species is named after Cen-Song Yang, a fish enthusiast from Yunnan, China. We suggest the Chinese common name as " ḵ松华ĸ ".

Description. Shell small, thick, solid, oval shape, dark yellow, with black purple horizontal stripes; shell comprising five to six whorls, surface with some slightly raised nodules, growth lines no obvious, without spiral ribs, body whorl swollen, taking up most of the shell about 77%, with very faint transverse lines. Apex eroded. Suture low. Aperture oval shape, lip thin, inner lip slightly thickened and smooth, purple, outer lip grey or yellow. Umbilicus absent.

Operculum. ( Fig. 2 J View Figure 2 ) Ovate, smaller than aperture, corneous, thin, brown, length 3.16 mm, width 2.28 mm, and the nucleus located at the bottom left about 1/4.

Radula. ( Fig. 3 J View Figure 3 ) Central teeth with triangle-shaped pointed major cusp, and 4–5 smaller cusps on each side. Lateral teeth with enlarged, pointed major cusp and 1–2 smaller cusps on inner side. The outer sider of lateral teeth with 4–5 smaller cusps. Inner marginal teeth with four and outer with five to six flattened, rounded denticles.

Anatomy. Snout, foot and tentacles orange-yellow. Snout broad, squarish, with long cephalic tentacles, tentacles roughly greater than snout in length.

Remarks. H. censongyangi sp. nov. shell surface with some slightly raised nodules, which is a significant feature that distinguishes other Hua species. Hua censongyangi sp. nov. is most similar to H. pallens , H. ovata and H. rotundata , but can nevertheless be easily separated by the operculum nucleus located at about 1/4 (vs. located at the bottom left edge in H. pallens and H. rotundata ), and shell surface with black purple horizontal stripes. The new species can also be clearly distinguished from other Hua congeners by the following features: shell smooth (vs. shell sculptured in H. aristarchorum and H. aubryana ), outer marginal teeth with five to six flattened (vs. more than or equal to eight flattened in H. yangi , H. qiannanensis , H. vultuosa , H. kunmingensis , and H. liui ).

Habitat and distribution. This species was collected from Xiaotaoshu River, Longtan Village, Mile City, Yunnan. Ecology. The species inhabits rivers with a depth of less than 50 cm, the water flow was slow, and the substrate was stones.
