Neurigona chetitarsa Parent, 1926: 136 . Type locality: Zi­Ka­Wei [= env. Shanghai].

Diagnosis. Thorax yellow with gray pollen. Abdomen yellow with black dorsal middle spot.

Redescription. FEMALE. Body length 5.1 mm, wing length 5.1 mm.

Head metallic green with pale gray pollen; face narrow, eyes separate on face. Hairs and bristles on head black; vt bristles subequal to pvt bristles in length, both distinctly shorter than oc bristles; postocular bristles pale, except upper one black. Antenna yellow; first flagellomere about 1.3 times as long as wide. Proboscis brown with brown hairs; palp yellow, with yellow hairs.

Thorax yellow with gray pollen; mesonotum dark yellow, scutellum brownish. Hairs and bristles on thorax black. Propleuron with 1 pale hairs on upper portion, 1 long yellow bristle on lower portion. Legs yellow; coxae I–III yellow. Hairs and bristles on legs black; coxa III with 1 outer bristle at basal 1/3. Tibia I with 1 ad bristle at base and 3 pd; tibia II with 3 ad bristles, 2 av bristles and 3 pv bristles, apically with 3 bristles; tibia III with 5 ad bristles, 5 pd bristles and 2 av bristles, apically with 3 bristles. Tarsomere III1 with 1 ad bristle and 1 pv bristle at middle.

Wing hyaline; veins dark brown, M1+2 gently bent apically and convergent with R4+5; CuAx ratio 0.45.

Squama yellow with brown margin, with pale hairs. Halter yellow.

Abdomen yellow with gray pollen; terga 2–5 each with black middle apot. Hairs on abdomen chiefly black.

MALE. Unknown.

Material examined. 1 female, China: Shanghai (deposited in Muséum National d’Historie Naturelle, Paris).

Distribution. Known only from Shanghai.
