Chironbomus nuditarsi s Strenzke View in CoL

The species has a chromosome set 2n = 8. AB and CD chromosomes are metacentric, EF—submetacentric and G—telocentric ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ). The centromere regions of all chromosome are very prominent. A marker the species are the three groups of dark bands in chromosomes G between which there are single light bands. In some individuals, a dark knob is found in the telomere of the G chromosome ( Kiknadze et al. 2006). The species is highly polymorphic with 16 inversion banding patterns ( Kiknadze et al. 2016). These authors reported for a heterozygous translocation between AB and EF chromosomes. Forty-five individuals were studied.

Collection sites: Russe: Mechka, fish pool, Sandanski: Lebniza, fish pool, Serdika River and Pasardjik, Saraj.
