Diagnosis. This species is defined by tergum 9 being slightly produced posteriorly to form a darkly sclerotized, heart–shaped marking and by a triangular bifurcate epiproct. Sternum 9 bears a tongue–shaped vesicle that is covered with dense hairs.

Male ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Body length 3.6 - 4.0 mm. Wings macropterous. Forewing length 4.6 - 4.8 mm, hindwing length 4.0 - 4.1 mm. Body generally dark brown. Head rounded, slightly wider than pronotum; compound eyes dark. Pronotum evenly dark, trapezoidal, corners obtuse. Wings ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) membrane subhyaline with pale areas, veins brown, R vein slightly curved at its divergence with Rs. Abdominal pigmentation dark brown, terga 1-8 with median portion pale brown.

Terminalia. Terga 7 through 9 each with shallow indentation and narrow sclerotized band at anterior margins ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Tergum 9 with a medial, slightly elevated posteromedial lobe, forming a darkly sclerotized heart-shaped marking. Sternum 9 ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5 – 6 ) with tongue-shaped vesicle, covered by dense hairs; subgenital plate trapezoidal, wide basally and gradually tapering toward tip. Tergum 10 ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) strongly sclerotized at anterior margin, with a deep quadrate indentation. Cercus slender, 13 segmented, each distal portion enlarged with long hairs ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 7 – 9 ). Epiproct ( Figs. 5 View FIGURES 5 – 6 & 7 View FIGURES 7 – 9 ) nearly triangular and bifurcate, slightly constricted at base with a knob at basolateral corner ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 7 – 9 ), elevated medially ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 10 – 11 ), then distinctly sloping down apically in lateral view, apex slightly swollen with many pits ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 10 – 11 ).

Female. Body length 3.8 - 4.0 mm. Forewing length 5.5 - 5.7 mm, hindwing length 4.5 - 4.6 mm. Sterna 5-7 with posteromedian margin sclerotized. Sternum 8 with a triangular median sclerite, its tip nearly rectangular, covering anterior margin of sternum 9 ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ).

Type material. Holotype: male ( HIST), Paratypes: 3 males and 3 females, China: Yunnan Province, Deqin County, Baima snow mountain, 2009. IV.13, Weihai Li. Paratypes: 1 male and 1 female ( CAU), same data as holotype.

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the province where the type locality of the new species is located.

Distribution. China (Yunnan Province).

Remarks. The new species belongs to the C. cordata species group sensu Zhiltzova (2003). It is related to C. cordata from Tibet and C. qilianshana from Guansu in having a similar epiproct and a posteromedial marking on tergum 9, but may be easily separated from them by the nearly triangular and bifurcate apex. Both C. cordata and C. qilianshana have an elongate entire epiproct. Additionally, the epiproct of C. cordata is pointed and hooked apically in lateral view whereas C. qilianshana has a straight R vein of the front wing which differentiates it from the remainder species ( Kimmins 1947; Li & Yang 2009).
