Remarks. D. (Dt.) papillifera has been described from Congo as a subspecies of the East African D. (Dt.) modesta . Csuzdi (1995) recognized that the ornamentation of the penial setae differs markedly in the two subspecies (serrated bars in papillifera and small denticles in modesta ) and elevated papillifera to species rank.
