Genus Cyrtosia Perris

Type species: Cyrtosia Perris, 1839: 54 . Type species: Cyrtosia marginata Perris, 1839 , by monotypy.

Diagnosis. The genus Cyrtosia is distinguished from other Mythicomyiidae by the combination of following characters: R2+3 present, discal cell open, postgena not extended posteriorly ( Greathead & Evenhuis 2001).
