Basionym: Limodorum striatum Thunb. View in CoL in J.A.Murray, Syst. Veg., ed. 14: 816, 1784.
Homotypic synonym: Bletia striata (Thunb.) Druce, Rep. Bot. Soc. Exch. View in CoL Club Brit. Isles 1916: 609, 1917.
Heterotypic synonym: Bletia hyacinthina (Sm.) Aiton, Hortus Kew. 5: 206, 1813.
Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Northeastern part: 2440 m, Jun 1931, Forrest 29728 ( E) ; Myitkyina District : 2440 m, 16 Jun 1914, Kingdon-Ward 1670 ( E) ; same loc., 2195 m, 4 Jun 1919, Farrer 994 ( E) . SHAN. Taunggyi District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 62); southern part: 26 Jun 1935, Po Khant 16337 ( E) . Also reported from Mon State by Kress et al. (2003: 65), but we have not seen any material from this area.
Distribution:—? Myanmar, China, Japan and Korea.
Note:— The identity of the above-cited specimens is not certain. This and B. formosana differ mainly in the extent of undulation of lip keels, and a detailed baseline comparison in this group is much needed. Also the newly described Bletilla guizhouensis Jie Huang & G.Z.Chen from southern China is superficially similar and should be included in this comparison.
