Basionym: Saccolabium griffithii C.S.P.Parish & Rchb. View in CoL f., Trans. Linn. Soc. London 30: 145, 1874. Types:— MYANMAR. Southern Tenasserim : Parish 334 (lectotype K, designated by Seidenfaden 1988: 26). Syntype: MYANMAR. Tanintharyi Region: Myeik District , Griffith 744 ( K-LINDL; icon. K-LINDL) .

Homotypic synonym: Gastrochilus griffithii View in CoL (C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 661, 1891.

Distribution:— Southern Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and western Malesia.
