Eudexia colombiana ( Townsend, 1929) , comb. nov.

Cordillerodexia colombiana Townsend, 1929: 300 . References: Guimarães (1971: 29; catalog); O’Hara et al. (2020: 37; checklist of World Tachinidae ).

Material examined. Holotype male ( DEI; examined by photograph): “Type”; Holotypus ”; “ Cordillerodexia / colombiana TT / DetCHTT ♂ ”; “ Townsend det.”; “Columbia” . Holotype in good condition, but with one postpedicel and both mid legs missing, and with many setae on the dorsal surface of the thorax and abdomen broken or missing.

Diagnosis. Prementum short, about 0.5x length of head. Postpedicel orange. Upper calypter slightly brownishblack. Abdomen without pruinosity, reddish-yellow to yellow in ground color. Tergite 3 yellow, dorsally without a brownish-black longitudinal vitta. Tergite 5 pale brownish.

Distribution. Colombia ( Townsend 1929, without further information).
