Dolurgocleptes Schedl, 1965:61 View in CoL ; Wood 1986:72 –73.

Type species: Dolurgocleptes malgassicus Schedl, 1965 , by monotypy.

Redescription: Length 1.9–2.8 mm, 2.2–2.5 times longer than wide. Head. Frons not sexually dimorphic, surface smooth, sparsely to densely punctate, covered with minute scale- or hair-like setae. Dorsal occipital area not elongated. Eyes completely divided at level of antennal insertion, separated above by 1.4–2.0 times their length (anterior to posterior margin), slightly protuberant. Antennal club flat, sutures not visible; funiculus 5- or 6-segmented; scapus shorter than club and funiculus combined, with few setae. Mandibles without dehiscent appendages; pharyngeal process slightly shorter than mandible. Maxillary lacinia and galea fused, fringed on its mesal side with blunt spines; segments of maxillary palpus of subequal length. Labium narrow, with anterior ligula short and acute; first labial segment as long as segments 2 and 3 combined, nearly twice as long as broad; a long seta arising from ventral side of segment 2. Pronotum slightly arched, slightly constricted at anterior quarter, 0.9–1.0 times longer than wide, densely punctate, never asperate, sparsely to densely covered with short hair-like setae or scales. Elytra 1.5–1.6 times longer than wide, 1.7–1.9 times longer than pronotum; base straight, weakly or not elevated. Striae not impressed, strial and interstrial punctures of similar, small size; interstria 10 extending to posterior one-sixth; declivity convex; vestiture consisting of uniseriate rows of interstrial scales or bristle-like setae and shorter hair-like strial setae, sometimes with ground vestiture. Lateral wing lock short and deep, positioned under interstria 8. Hind wing 3.0 times longer than wide, costa (C) and subcosta (SC) fused, R approaching and fused with C-SC before basal one-sixth, C-SC-R ending in an expanded stigmal patch having at its distal end a small tubercle with four apical setae; two additional setae on costal margin just before stigmal patch area and three closely set setae near wing base; apical stripe weakly indicated, RP 1 distinct, not reaching wing margin, RP 2 equally distinct, reaching wing margin, MP1+2 weakly pigmented at base, medial spur abruptly angled posteriorly following the wing fold, not reaching posterior margin, CuA almost complete; posterior wing margin without anal lobe. Thoracic sclerites. Scutellum very small, flush with elytra. Scutoscutellar suture not straight, following scutellar groove for less than one-fifth of its length. Suture between postnotum and metanotum fused completely at median two-thirds. Metepisternal locking spine distinct, sharp; pleural suture moderately zigzag-shaped. Metepisternum with hair-like setae; sclerolepidia present along entire metepisternal suture. Metendosternite U-shaped, with long furcal arms, lateral arms well developed; stalk short, with small, delicate lateral flaps; anterior tendons distinctly sclerotised. Legs. Procoxae projecting well below prosternum, contiguous; prosternal process short, acute; mesocoxae narrowly to broadly separated, mesoventral process abruptly descending, not proclinate; metacoxae narrowly separated. Protibia on outer lateral edge with two socketed teeth, at inner angle a small mucro pointed posteriad; anterior face with groove for reception of tarsus; meso- and metatibiae at lateral and distal end with 3–5 small socketed teeth and a tiny mesal unsocketed mucro. Proventriculus with apical plate as long as posterior plate, without apical, lateral and sutural teeth, without marginal bristles; median suture wide open; masticatory brush small, weakly sclerotised; closing teeth long, almost reaching posterior end; femoral teeth distinct, blunted, of irregular size and position. Terminalia. Tergite VIII exposed in males, telescoped below tergite VII in females. Aedeagus about 2.5–3.2 times longer than wide, apophyses shorter than aedeagal body. Terminal plates absent. Tegmen weakly sclerotised, open dorsally, with tiny manubrium. Spiculum gastrale about as long as aedeagus, evenly curved, fork on posterior quarter vestigial. Spermatheca L-shaped, lightly sclerotised, broadly rounded at the apices. Larvae and pupae unknown.
