( Figs 1–15 View FIGURES 1 – 2 View FIGURES 3 – 12 View FIGURES 13 – 15 )

Female macropterous. Body pale including antennae, legs and wings, except extreme tip of abdominal segment X brown. Head wider than long, strongly projecting in front of eyes; ocellar setae I and II present, III arises outside ocellar triangle; two pairs of postocular setae adjacent to eye margins; mouth-cone short not reaching to middle of pronotum; maxillary palps 3–segmented; compound eyes without pigmented ommatidia; antennae 8–segmented, segment I without dorsoapical setae, segment II without CPS and also without rows of microtrichia on both sides, segments III and IV each with a simple sense cone; III–VI with three to five rows of microtrichia on both sides. Pronotum longer than wide, with fine transverse striae and about 18 discal setae; anteroangular margin sharply constricted, without anteroangular setae; posterior margin with one pair of posteroangular setae and five pairs of posteromarginal setae ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 12 ). Mesonotum with a pair of anteromedian CPS, with strong transverse striae medially, median setae arising ahead of posterior margin and submedian setae at posterior margin. Metanotum with a few transverse striae on anterior, with irregular longitudinal lines on median posterior areas, straight longitudinal lines laterally; median setae arising far behind anterior margin, submedian setae situated near to anterior margin, without a pair of CPS. Ferna attaching at tip and not divided; basantra degenerate without any setae; mesosternum with about 12 minute setae, endofurca without spinula; metasternum with about 8 minute setae, endofurca without spinula ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 3 – 12 ). Fore wing first vein with 3 + 3 setae on proximal half, 3 setae distally; second vein with 4 setae; clavus with four veinal setae, without discal setae; posteromarginal fringe cilia wavy.

Fore femora slightly enlarged; all tarsi 2–segmented. Abdominal tergites with at least 5 irregular transverse striae across each segment; posterior margin with craspedum; tergite VIII posterior margin without fringe of microtrichia; tergites IX with a pair of anterior CPS; abdominal sternites with at least 5 irregular transverse striae across each segment; posterior margin with lobed craspedum, VII with lobed craspedum reduced; sternite II with 2 pairs of posteromarginal setae; segments III–VII with 3 pairs of posteromarginal setae, segment VII with S1and S2 arising close together at margin ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 3 – 12 ).

Measurements (female in microns). Distended body length 1260; head length 86, width across cheeks 119, vertex length 18–20; pronotum median length 156, width 145; metascutal median setae 16, submedian setae 16; fore wing length 625, segments I–VIII length (width) as follows: 18 (24), 34 (22), 41 (14), 43 (15), 43(15), 53 (14), 8 (6), 11 (4).

Male. Male similar to female, except as follows: Antennal segment I enlarged, segments III −IV with about 6 rows of microtrichia; posterior margin of tergites IV −VII with toothed craspedum laterally, tergite VIII with complete toothed craspedum ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13 – 15 ); segment IX with a pair of drepanae ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 13 – 15 ); fore wing first vein with 7 proximal setae and 3 distal setae, second vein with 3 setae; abdominal sternites IV −VIII with lobed craspedum ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 13 – 15 ).

Measurements (male in microns). Distended body length 1100; head length 100, width across cheeks 115, vertex length 19–20; pronotum median length 149, width 128; metascutal median setae 13, submedian setae 18; fore wing length 612; antennal length 245, segments I–VIII length (width) as follows: 18 (3), 36 (16), 46 (14), 43 (14),42(14), 43 (12), 7 (5), 10 (3).
