Type. PUERTO RICO. ♂ holotype  , ♀ allotype, University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez  , Puerto Rico, I.1964, A. M. Chickering leg., deposited in MCZ, examined.

III.1990, 1 ♂ ( AMNH)GoogleMaps  ; El Verde , Puerto Rico University, Biology Station, (18°20'27"N; 65°49'34"W), 17. II.1969, 2 ♀, L. Herman leg. Diagnosis. Males of Masteria petrunkevitchi  resemble those of M. barona  and M. soucouyant  n. sp. in the elongated embolus and short tegulum, but differ from M. barona  and M. soucouyant  n. sp. in the presence of grouped spines on the palpal tibia ( Fig. 8CView FIGURE 8) (that, in the latter, are in the basal portion; Fig. 8CView FIGURE 8). Females resemble those of M. manauara  and M. sabrinae  n. sp. in the unilobed spermathecae, but differ in the inconspicuous duct and the large interdistance between spermathecae ( Fig. 8EView FIGURE 8).
