Dieta chlorion Simon, 1906: 286 (description of female) Type material. Holotype female from INDIA: Tamil Nadu: Nilgiris, Simon leg., 1906, deposited in (MNHN), examined.

Diagnosis. The female epigyne of O. chlorion is most similar to that of Oxytate forcipata Zhang & Yin, 1998 , from which it can be easily distinguished by the relatively narrower anterior hood (broader in O. forcipata ), and postero-medially placed and inwardly oriented copulatory openings (medio-laterally placed and anteriorly oriented in O. forcipata ) (cf. Figs 1C View FIGURES 1 , 5A View FIGURES 5 with fig. 1 in Zhang & Yin, 1998, and fig. 280B in Song et al. 1999).

Redescription. Female (holotype, Figs 1A–D View FIGURES 1 ). Measurements: Body length 6.82. Carapace length 2.83, width 2.41. Abdomen length 3.86, width 1.97. Eye diameters: ALE 0.08. AME 0.06. PLE 0.07. PME 0.06. Eye interdistances: AME–AME 0.18, ALE–AME 0.12, PME–PME 0.19, PLE–PME 0.29, ALE–PLE 0.25, AME–PME 0.24, ALE–ALE 0.51, PLE–PLE 0.85, AME–PLE 0.45, ALE–PME 0.21. Measurements of legs: I 10.07 [3.12, 1.03, 2.43, 2.38, 1.11], II 9.75 [3.03, 0.96, 1.31, 1.10, 0.70], III 5.84 [1.61, 0.68, 1.71, 1.12, 0.72], IV 5.68 [2.14, 0.43, 1.31, 1.10, 0.70]. Leg formula: 1234. Colour in alcohol: overall pale yellow to colourless, markings faintly visible ( Figs 1A–B View FIGURES 1 ). Epigyne as in Figs 1C View FIGURES 1 , 5A View FIGURES 5 : epigyne with broad anterior hood; copulatory openings large, rounded, inwardly oriented, located postero-medially to the epigyne ( Figs 1C View FIGURES 1 , 5A View FIGURES 5 ).
