Remarks. Guinot & Richer de Forges (1995) commented on the great morphological diversity among specimens of P. boasi recorded from many parts of the tropical Indo-West Pacific. The specimens examined from the Solomon Islands and northern New Caledonia are within the range of this variability with regards to the white colour and the density of setae.
