Material examined. Holotype. BRAZIL: Rio Grande do Sul, Cristal , Camaquã river, riparian forest, 31°01’01.7”S; 51°56’42.0”W, 06.VIII.2008, E.N.L. Rodrigues & P.E.S. Rodrigues leg., 1M (MCN 52003). Paratype. BRAZIL: same data as the holotype, 1F (MCN 52004). Paratype. BRAZIL: same data as the holotype, 1F ( IBSP 166158).

Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.

Diagnosis. The male of Thymoites cristal new species resembles that of Thymoites tabuleiro new species in the shape of the carapace and the palp ( Figs. 26–28 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ), but differs in the conductor longer ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ), trajectory of the sperm duct in the tegulum ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ) and embolus developed. The female of Thymoites cristal new species is close to T. tabuleiro by the not coiled copulatory duct ( Figs. 29, 30 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ), but differs from it in the spermathecae round and copulatory duct short and straight ( Figs. 29, 30 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ).

Description. Male holotype (from riparian forest of Camaquã river, MCN 52003): Total length 1.55. Carapace length 0.76, width 0.60. Clypeus height 0.10. Sternum length 0.33, width 0.37. Abdomen length 0.86, width 0.67, height 0.69. Leg formula I/II/IV/III; segment length (I/II/III/IV): femora 0.81/0.67/0.52/0.67; patellae + tibiae 0.86/ 0.63/0.50/0.63; metatarsi + tarsi 0.84/0.73/0.54/0.67; total 2.51/2.03/1.56/1.97. Carapace ( Figs. 27, 28 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ) brown, anteriorly dark brown, with a long projection anteriorly, mainly AME, with longitudinal row setae. Eyes with dark borders. PME smaller than the others eyes. Chelicerae and endites brown. Sternum brown, darkened borders. Legs brown. Leg IV with femur and patella dark brown. Metatarsi I and II with ventral macrosetae. Abdomen ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ) oval, pale yellow, except around of spinnerets dark brown. Spinnerets yellow. Palp with embolus developed, conductor longer ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ) and sperm duct in the tegulum sinuous ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ).

Female paratype (same locality as male, MCN 52004): Total length 1.23. Carapace length 0.60, width 0.52. Clypeus height 0.12. Sternum length 0.31, width 0.37. Abdomen length 0.67, width 0.65, height 0.65. Leg formula I/IV/II/III; segment length (I/II/III/IV): femora 0.73/0.54/0.44/0.63; patellae + tibiae 0.63/0.50/0.44/0.60; metatarsi + tarsi 0.77/0.60/0.50/0.65; total 2.13/1.64/1.38/1.88. Carapace brown. Eyes with dark borders. AME smaller than the others eyes. Chelicerae and endites brown. Sternum dark brown. Legs brown. Abdomen longer than wide, dorsum dark brown; venter red-brown, around of spinnerets dark brown. Spinnerets brown. Epigynum with spermathecae rounded and non-sinuous copulatory ducts ( Figs. 29, 30 View FIGURES 26 – 30 ).
