Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) puchneri Bílý & Sakalian, 2014: 619 . Type locality: Angola, Province Huila, Caconda – Huambo road, near Nova Monçaõ, 1640 m, 13°262′S 15°227′E.

Type specimen studied. Holotype by monotypy (male, NMPC, Fig. 20 ): “ Angola, Prov. Huila, Str. zw. Caconda u. Huambo, Umgb. Nova Monçaõ, 1640 m, 13°262’S 15°227’ O, 8.–12.xi.2012, leg. A. Puchner”.

Further specimen studied. ANGOLA: Tchitunda, Anthaxia luctuosa Obenberger, A. Théry det. (male, LCDF, Fig. 18 ).

Théry (1947) listed among other Anthaxia -species collected by the Monard´s expeditions also one specimen of Anthaxia luctuosa Obenberger, 1922 . A. luctuosa is a synonym of A. albovillosa Kerremans, 1913 ( Bílý & Kubáň, 2010) and moreover also a homonym ( A. luctuosa Lucas, 1846 )—see Bílý, 2006.

After having studied the specimen determined by Théry (1947) as A. luctuosa and compared it with the holotype of the recently described A. (H.) puchneri ( Fig. 20 ) I found them to be conspecific. The female is unknown.

Distribution. Angola.
