Lectotype (designated here):— BRAZIL. “ prov. St.-Paul. campis elevatis ”, [1833 or 1834], P.W. Lund s.n. [766] (G pro parte: only left-hand specimen [barcode G00134821!]).
Notes: —The lectotype does not carry Choisy’s identification or any sign that he saw the specimen. However, it is deposited in the Geneva Herbarium, in the Candolle Herbarium, the main collection studied by Choisy, and it is the only collection by P.W. Lund that we found with label notes matching the protologue (“ in campis elevatis prov. St.- Paul. ”). On the right of the same sheet, another specimen of Distimake tomentosus View in CoL is mounted, also collected by Lund, with a different label and barcode (G00135044!). As it is a different collection, this specimen must not be considered as part of the lectotype.
