Distribution: Colombia, Panama, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador (+ Galápagos Islands), Argentina.

Bolivar (1881:463): Palmal, Ecuador (leg. Stolzmann).

Campos (1923:5 and 1926:44): the same locality as mentioned by Bolivar (1881).

Princis (1965:372): Ecuador.
