Etymology. The specific name refers to the simple palp and epigyne observed in the species. Adjective.
Diagnosis. See generic diagnosis.
Description. Male holotype: Total length: 3.40. Carapace light brown, 1.75 long, 1.00 wide, 0.55 high, with a median longitudinal stripe of white scales ( Fig. 29) and white scales on a marginal narrow stripe and clypeus. Ocular quadrangle 0.80 long. Anterior eye row 0.87 wide and posterior 0.92 wide. Chelicera, endite, labium and sternum light brown. Endite slightly projected, rounded. Palp light brown, with a short RTA on a rounded bump, posterior portion of the tegulum projected and short embolus arising from the median prolateral portion of the tegulum ( Figs 30–32). Legs 4132; I light brown, II–IV yellow. Length of femur: I 0.75, II 0.57, III 0.70, IV 0.87; patella + tibia: I 0.87, II 0.70, III 0.70, IV 0.95; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.55, II 0.52, III 0.67, IV 0.80. Spination: femur I=II d1-1-1, III d1-1-1, p1di, r1di, IV r1di; tibia I=II v0, III p1, v1pdi, IV p1, r0-1-1, v2di; metatarsus I v1p-1p, II v1pdi, III d2di, p1di, r1di, v1p-1di, IV d1r-2, p1di, r1di, v1p-1di. Abdomen cream colored, covered with light brown scales; median longitudinal stripe of white scales and a pair of narrow, dorsolateral stripes of white scales ( Fig. 29). Spinnerets light brown.
Female paratype: Total length: 3.45. Coloration as in the male, except for the dorsal longitudinal dark brown stripes and no narrow lateral stripe of white scales on the abdomen. Carapace 1.60 long, 0.90 wide, 0.47 high. Ocular quadrangle 0.75 long. Anterior eye row 0.82 wide and posterior 0.82 wide. Palp and legs yellow; legs poorly preserved. Epigyne with a median, posterior pocket, short copulation ducts and undifferentiated spermathecae ( Figs 33–34).
Distribution. Known only from the State of Amazonas, Brazil.
