Male. Body small. Eye globular, protruding foreward and outward. Fastigium verticis comparatively broad, distinctly furrowed above, declined laterally and towards vertex. Pronotum short, posterior area swollen, sellate, anterior margin straight, posterior margin obtusely rounded. Thoracic auditory spiracle smaller than first stigma. Procoxa with a spine, pro- and mesotibia with 5 spines on internal and external sides of ventral margin, posttibia with 15–16 spines on inner and outer sides of dorsal margin, knee lobes on both sides with one spine. Tegmen short, apex reaching basal area of second abdominal tergite. Tenth abdominal tergite broad, posterior margin concave. Cerci stout at base, with 2 low and blunt processes on interno-basal margin, some small and thin teeth distributed on the area and processes, apex comparatively narrow, slightly truncate. Subgenital plate broad at base, apex narrow; posterior margin concave in middle; style relatively long.
Coloration. Body light brown, fastigium verticis with some inconspicuous brown spots, vertex brown. Pronotum with broad black edge along metanoza. Pro- and mesotibiae and pro- and mesofemora with some small brown spots on outer margin; basal half of postfemur with a longitudinal black stripe on outer margin, and a row of small spots on dorsal and ventral margins, knee black (including base of posttibiae).
Female. Unknown.
Holotype. 3, Fujian, Mt. Wuyi, Daizhulan. 20 Aug., 2006, collected by Li Xiao-Dong.
Measurements. Body 39.8; head width 34.8, interocular distance 31.5; fastigium verticis width 30.5; fastigium frontis width 30.6; pronotum length 33.8; pronotum width 33.3; tegmen length 31.8; postfemur 311.0; posttibia9.6 3; thoracic auditory spiracle length 30.16, its width 30.15; first stigma length 30.3.
Etymology. The name of the new species refers to the morphology of the male’s cerci.
Discussion. The new species resembles Lipotactes sinicus ( Bey-Bienko, 1959) , but differs from it by the male cercus with stout base, narrow, slightly truncate apex, having 2 low processes on interno-basal area, some small and thin teeth distributed on the area and processes.
