Aponychos hyperaesthesia Bamber, Chatterjee & Marshall, 2012 View in CoL
Aponychos hyperaesthesia Bamber, Chatterjee & Marshall 2012 , 80–85, figs 5–7.
Material examined: 2♂♂, 12♀♀ (three brooding), Station S17, 04°41′13"N 114°27′23"E, 6.5 m depth, sand; March 2009. 2♀♀ (one brooding), Station S5, 04°42′26.5"N 114°26′02"E, 11.5 m depth, sand; March 2009. 2♀♀ (one brooding), Station DA2, 05°54′28.5"N 114°38′23.3"E, 20 m depth, sand. 1 brooding ♀, Station B5, 04°51′06"N 114°35′26"E, 20 m depth, sand; March 2009.
Remarks. Previously known only from the type-series from these same waters in depths of 0 to 8 m (Bamber et al., 2012), these records confirm (and extend) its very-shallow-water habitat: it was not taken at any sites deeper than 20 m, and was more common further inshore.
