Ophion repentinus Holmgren, 1860: 11 . Lectotype ♂ from Sweden in NHRS examined.
Material examined: IRAN: 1♀, Ardebil Province, Sarein, Ardestan , 2 Jul. 1997, 1700 m. a. s., Barari / Mof. leg. ( HMIM) .
Remarks: New to Iran. Closely related and similar to Enicospilus ocellatus , but distinguished by the more buccate head with a distinct gap between the lateral ocelli and the inner margin of the compound eye. A relatively common species in central and northern Europe.
