We have seen three specimens of this species, all from BCN: El Topo [Sierra Juárez; 32.238056°, -115.978611°; 5134’]; 5.2 mi E Tecate, 28-V-81, Faulkner & Brown (SDMC); 63 km E San Telmo, 1615 m, 29-VI-80, C. L. Bellamy (CLBC). This species has been recorded only from California and Oregon. Its known hosts are species of oaks, Quercus spp., and tanoak, Lithocarpus densiflorus (Hooker & Arnott) Rehder (Fagaceae) .
