We have seen three specimens of this species, all from BCN: El Topo [Sierra Juárez; 32.238056 °, - 115.978611 °; 5134 ’]; 5.2 mi E Tecate, 28 -V- 81, Faulkner & Brown ( SDMC); 63 km E San Telmo, 1615 m, 29 -VI- 80, C. L. Bellamy ( CLBC). This species has been recorded only from California and Oregon. Its known hosts are species of oaks, Quercus spp., and tanoak, Lithocarpus densiflorus (Hooker & Arnott) Rehder ( Fagaceae ).
