New material. Host: Platax teira (Forsskål) , teira batfish ( Ephippidae ).

Site: Intestine.

Localities: Heron Island (23°29’S, 151°55'E, Feb. 2000), Nouméa Fish Market, New Caledonia (11/03/ 2009).

Prevalence: Heron Island 3 of 3 (including Bray & Cribb (2003) data); New Caledonia 1 of 2.

Voucher specimens: QM G 231062 – 231078, MNHN JNC 2872, BMNH 2010.2.10.6-18.

Discussion. Measurements are given in Table 2 View TABLE 2 . This species has previously been reported from Platax orbicularis and the ephippids, the orbfish Ephippus orbis (Bloch) from the Gulf of Tongking (Mamaev 1970) and Platax teira from Heron Island (Bray & Cribb 2003).
