Diagnosis. Most setae on forewing veins inserted in brown areolae. Central sclerite of hypandrium strongly convex anteriorly, with postero-lateral corners slightly projected, curved inwards; median posterior projection bilobed. Phallosome with side struts slender, separated ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ).

Color (in 80% ethanol). Body pale brown, with small brown spots. Compound eyes dark brown; ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Head pattern ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ); a slender brown band from each compound eye to epistomal sulcus; genae with brown ochre wide band from lower margin of each compound eye to anterior tentorial pit, postgenae, mandibles, maxillae and labium cream. Antennae pale brown, apex of flagellomeres cream. Maxillary palps pale brown, Mx4 brown distally. Pronotum cream; tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax pale brown, with brown spots; thoracic pleura pale cream with small brown spots. Fore- and middle legs pale brown, coxae, trochanters, femora and tibiae cream, tarsi pale brown. Forewings almost hyaline ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ), with pale brown areas proximally, vein ends dark brown, surrounded by pale brown areas; pterostigma pale brown with central hyaline area. Hindwings hyaline, with brown spots at vein ends. Abdomen pale cream. Hypandrium cream. Phallosome dark brown. Epiproct and paraprocts cream, with brown subcuticular spots.

Morphology. Head ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ): H/MxW: 1.42; H/D: 2.97, IO/MxW: 0.71, MxW/IO: 1.98. Vertex slightly above the level of the compound eyes. Outer cusp of lacinial tip broad, with four denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.31. Forewings ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ): L/W: 2.43. Pterostigma wider in the middle; lp/wp: 3.60; areola postica: la/ha: 1.85. Hindwings ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ): l/ w: 2.79. Side sclerites of hypandrium small, irregular; central sclerite as in diagnosis ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ). Phallosome ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ) Y-shaped anteriorly, side struts slender; external parameres membranous, distally narrow and rounded, bearing pores; lateral sclerites proximally curved inwards and attached to the anterior pair, distally acuminate; anterior pair curved and close together proximally; mesal pair with arms curved outwards and distally blunt; postero-mesal pair distally curved, acuminate, ending in two pointed teeth. Paraprocts ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ) broad, oval, with rounded posterior margin, setal field distal, with abundant short and medium sized setae and macrosetae near the outer margin; sensory fields with 19 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 3 – 8 ) wide, convex anteriorly, posteriorly rounded, setae as illustrated.

Etymology. The specific name refers to the National Natural Park and river Amacayacu, in Leticia, Amazonas, Colombia.
