Type species by original designation: Helix adansoni sensu Ibáñez et al. (1988) (non Webb & Berthelot, 1833) = Helix hedeia Mabille, 1882 (see Ibáñez & Alonso 2007 for additional remarks on the nomenclatural history of the species).
