Distribution. This species is known from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Martinica, Mexico, New Granada, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent and Surinam (Bl̂te 1936, Pirán 1963, Froeschner 1981, Maes & Ĝllner-Scheiding 1993, Packauskas 2010, Garcete-Barrett 2016, Linares & Orozco 2017, Meurgey & Ramage 2020). Dominican Republic and Venezuela are new country records.
