Holotype: 1 female (slide) USSR. Magadan Region, “Death Valley”, on the road between Magadan and Ust’ Umchug, 209 km from Magadan, 30.vii.1979, sandy plain with moss, lichens, Vaccinium, A. Fjellberg (CNC 165045, Type No.20107). Paratypes: 9 females and 1 male (slide), same collection as holotype (CNC 165134, Type No. 20106).

Listed as Micraphorura interrupta (Fjellberg, 1987) by Bellinger et al. (1996–2015) but also as Oligaphorura interrupta (Fjellberg, 1987) by Babenko & Fjellberg (2015: 60).
