Holotype: 1 male (slide) [U.S.A.] Alaska, Prudhoe Bay, 16.viii.1976, Dryas-turf on pingo, [IBP study plot], A. Fjellberg (CNC 165048, Type No. 20099). Paratypes: 5 females and 1 male (slide), same collection as holotype (CNC 165139, Type No. 20100).

Currently listed as Oligaphorura pingicola (Fjellberg, 1987) by Bellinger et al. (1996–2015) and Babenko & Fjellberg (2015: 65).
