Holotype. China. Xishuangbanna : female[ China / Yunnan /Xishuangbanna/2200 M/ 21 September 1957 / L. Zang] ( IZAS)

Recognition Characters. Broadly oval; hind femur exceeding apex of abdomen; abdominal sternites one and two densely clothed with clavate decumbent cretaceous scales; pronotum broadly convex in lateral view; disk with a centrobasal defuse macula of narrow elongate aeneous and a few clavate decumbent cretaceous scales mixed in a whorl; elytra with a centrolateral fascia of clavate decumbent cretaceous scales on intervals six through eight.

Description. Female. Length: 5.1 mm. Width: 3.1 mm. Head. Small, slightly convex; derm fuscorufous; punctures small; macula of small, decumbent, white scales under rostrum between eyes; vestiture of narrow, elongate, decumbent, aeneous scales; eyes large, round, finely faceted; frons 0.21 as broad as head across eyes; clothed with narrow, elongate, decumbent, aeneous scales; small median slit like interocular fovea. Rostrum. Length: 4.5 mm, 0.89 as long as body; dorsal surface fuscous from frons to apex, lateral surface testaceous; cylindrical; sides subparallel gradually tapering to apex; gradually emerging or continuous with head; three dorsal carinae from frons to antennal insertion; oval punctures between carinae; emerging rather straight for the first two thirds of its length then broadly curving to apex; scrobe lateral; scape inserted past one third of its length. Antennae. Length of scape 1.4 mm, funicular segment one 0.4 mm, two 0.5 mm, three 0.3 mm, four 0.2 mm, five 0.2 mm, six 0.2 mm, seven 0.2 mm, club 0.55 mm; funicle 2.0 mm; scape 0.70 as long as funicle; derm fuscous; moderately clothed with elongate, decumbent, white scales with longer semierect setae towards the apex of segments three through seven; club elongate, acuminate, clothed with fine setae, few erect setae, not as long as funicular segments four through seven. Thorax. Length: 1.5 mm. Width: 2.3 mm, 0.66 as long as body; derm fuscous; disc sides parallel to past midpoint then broadly rounded to constriction; laterally subimpressed; in lateral view dorsal surface somewhat convex; broader than long; base sinuate; punctures small, oval to round, close together; clothed with narrow, elongate, decumbent, aeneous scales mixed with clavate decumbent cretaceous scales; there is a dorsal basocentral diffuse macula in a whorl shaped of golden and a few cretaceous decumbent scales. Anteroventral below head pronotum clothed with short, broad, clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales; mesosternal intercoxal process very prominent one half anvil shaped, clothed with clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales; scutellum large with bright cretaceous scales; mesepimeron with dorsal fringe of clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales and aeneous scales mixed with cretaceous scales ventrally; mesepisternum sparsely clothed with clavate, decumbent, aeneous and a few cretaceous scales; metepisternum narrowing toward distal end clothed with few cretaceous scales anteriorly and aeneous scales posteriorly; procoxae clothed with narrow, elongate, some broad clavate decumbent cretaceous scales. Elytra. Length: 3.5 mm. Derm fuscous; striae deep, broad with scattered clavate cretaceous scales emerging from deep punctures; basal declivity around scutellum; humeri rounded; intervals broad, flat, clothed with elongate, aeneous, decumbent scales with cretaceous scales intermixed; centrolaterally with a cretaceous fascia on intervals six through eight; disc flat in lateral view; crosshatch setae long, erect starting out aeneous then becoming piceous toward apex. Legs. Length of hind femur 2.8 mm, exceeds apex of abdomen, tooth large, thorn shaped, with proximolateral sulcus; pro­ and mesofemoral tooth medium, not as long as hind femoral tooth; derm fuscous; all femora clothed with narrow, elongate, decumbent aeneous and cretaceous scales; hind tibia sinuate with dense apical comb extending up tibia one quarter of its length; pro­ and mesouncus large longer than tarsal claw; metauncus small. Abdomen. Derm fuscous; first sternite longer than two behind coxal cavity; second sternite ascending to three; sternites three and four combined longer than five; apex of sternite five acute; sternites one and two with lateral macula of clavate, decumbent, cretaceous scales, remaining sternites with narrow elongate, decumbent, fuscous scales. Pygidium . covered. Genitalia. Spermatheca: Ramus tilted, rounded; collum rounded defined from ramus; cornu thickened basely tapering to narrowed slightly turned up apex ( Fig. 36).

Plant Associations. Unknown.

Distribution. China. Yunnan Province, Xishuangbanna, 2200 M., 21 September 1957, L. Zang Collector. Unique.
