Maruina (Maruina) menina Bravo & Lago, 2003: 395-398 View in CoL ; Bravo & Araújo, 2018 (Distributional records).
Diagnosis. Combination of the following characters: R 1 weakly sclerotized; aedegal sheath with a large expanded sclerotized arch subapically; aedeagus with a symmetrical group of long and thin spines only, similar to M. (M.) garota ; female hypoginium large at base, strongly narrowed before apical lobulae.
Material examined. Type material: holotype: ♂ BRAZIL, Bahia, Ituberá , 12.vi.2002, col. F. Bravo ( MZFS) ; Paratypes 3 ♀♀ same data .
Distribution. Brazil (Bahia).
Holotype condition. Slide mounted, over clarified, antenna incomplete.
Remarks. Bravo & Lago (2003) stated that R 1 doesn’t reach C; however, based on our examination of the type material, it actually does. See remarks of M. (M.) garota for a complete differential diagnosis.
