Diagnosis: Belonging in species group “C”, in the classification of García Aldrete et al., (2013). Differing from E. bonaverensis n. sp., described above, in having the median posterior processes of the hypandrium blunt ended, not dilated preapically, and in the general structure of the phallosome (compare Figs 67 and 68 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E , with Figs 7 and 8 View FIGURES 3 – 8. E in this paper). Female IX sternum ( Fig. 74 View FIGURES 69 – 74. E ), posteriorly pointed, anteriorly convex, with a mesal, U-shaped brown area.

Male. Color (in 80% ethanol). Body creamy, with brown spots as indicated below. Head pattern ( Fig. 65 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E ), with longitudinal creamy bands from each compound eye to clypeus, limited on outer borders by ochre genae, and on inner borders by ochre striae of postclypeus, and by dark brown areas on sides of ocellar group, as illustrated. Compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents; labrum dark brown, creamy on sides. Maxillary palps pale brown, Mx4 brown. Antennae brown, scape and pedicel dark brown. Thorax brown, meso- and metapleura with large, dark brown spots. Coxae dark brown, mid and hind coxae with small, brown areas, femora proximally dark brown, tibiae brown. Forewings ( Fig. 63 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E ), hyaline, pterostigma with proximal and distal dark brown bands, a submarginal brown band from R4+5 to areola postica, and a large brown area distally in cells Cu1 and Cu2, as illustrated; brown areola on veins in setae insertions, and dark brown spots distally on veins, at wing margin. Abdomen yellowish brown, with dark brown subcuticular bands. Hypandrium brown, darker anteriorly; epiproct and paraprocts pale brown. Phallosome brown, with endophallic sclerites dark brown.

Morphology. As in diagnosis, plus the following: Head: H/MxW: 1.42; compound eyes large, H/d: 2.57; IO/ MxW: 0.76. Outer cusp of lacinial tip broad, with four denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.4. Forewings ( Fig. 63 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E ): L/W: 3.61; M 5-branched, M5 distally forked. Pterostigma: lp/wp: 3.92, areola postica tall, triangular: al/ah: 1.41. Hindwings ( Fig. 64 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E ): l/w: 2.80. Hypandrium ( Fig. 67 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E ), of one sclerite, setose as illustrated; phallosome ( Fig. 68 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E ) with external parameres dilated distally, apically rounded, the outer border with a row of denticles. Two pairs of endophallic sclerites, anterior pair each with a straight, acuminate central piece, joined proximally to a curved broad piece, distally acuminate, directed inwards; posterior pair long, slender, with apex bearing two acuminate projections, the inner one curved inwards. Epiproct ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E ) wide, convex anteriorly, rounded posteriorly, with setae as illustrated. Paraprocts ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 63 – 68. E ), broad, with a macrosetae near sensory field, and a distal setal field; sensory fields with 25 trichobothria on basal rosettes.
